Mail workers and members of the union Haber-Sen organised an action on December 5 in front of the General Directorship of the Mail Administration Centre in order to protest against the AKP government paying 90 kurus (1% of YTL) per hour as a bonus for working during the 9 days long holiday coming soon. {divide}
The mail workers had also been forced to work during Ramadan and face heavy working conditions were shouting the slogan: "The day will come, the fate will change, and AKP will render account to the people". Haber-Sen president of Izmir branch made a statement in the name of the mail workers in which he criticized the government. Concerning the bonus of 90 kurus, he said: "We are giving back these 90 kurus to the AKP government and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who consider us entitled to this amount" and "Take this 90 kurus and work yourself for it during holiday".
